New oyster bar in Les Halles, Tours to open in October

Pierre Pichot, export manager at InterLoire, is leaving the organisation in September to open an oyster bar in Les Halles in October. The move is not a total surprise as Pierre's family run the Les Parcs St. Kerber / Les Viviers d'Armor, who are reputed for their oysters. During the Cabernet Franc Ambassadors tasting in Paris, we had a tasting of them at Les Comédiens – they were so good that I shamefully neglected to make proper notes on the three different types of oyster we tried. Not sure whether you will be able to order a 'pichot' a of wine!
