Château Pape-Clément, Pessac-Léognan – some 2006 still outstanding
The tally of Bordeaux en primeur wines ordered by 1855's customers and not delivered continues to mount.
To date there are a total 1352 bottles (115 cases) from 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 known to be outstanding with a current value of approximately 107,673€.* The biggest number of unfilled orders are from 2005 with 764 bottles (over 63 cases) with a current worth of 56,000€. This is followed by 2006 350 bottles (over 29 cases) worth 11,000€ and 2007 – 204 bottles worth just over 35,000€.
The 2007 Carruades de Lafite that Fabien Hyon (chief operating officer of 1855) promised would be delivered by the end of 2010 have not yet arrived, although I know one of the customers awaiting this wine received an email last week from Hyon saying that the wine was on its way.
