Running out of power in the middle of an important text, video game or picture-taking opportunity is a drag – and finding a place to charge up your USB gadgets is not always easy. The Continuance rechargeable battery concept would rescue all of your brain-dead gadgets quickly and easily, letting you finish what you started.

The batteries in question are the same size as traditional batteries and can be recharged in the same way. But they also feature a USB port on the side, letting you plug that gadget in for a quick jolt of energy whenever you need it.

Of course, these batteries probably won’t hold much power, but when you are in an emergency situation (whatever you might define as an “emergency”) even a little bit of power can be a huge help. Designed by Haimo Bao, Hailong Piao, Yuancheng Liu & Xiameng Hu, Continuance is an iF Concept Design entry for 2011.
