To mark the 50th anniversary of Menetou-Salon's accession to appellation contrôlée a sculpture by Mario d'Souza called la bouteille vivante will be unveiled on the edge of Menetou-Salon on the road to Bourges. Among those present will be the mayor of Menetou, Pierre Fouchet, and his councillors and Philippe Gilbert, president of the Union Viticole.
