New oyster bar in Les Halles, Tours to open in October

The move is not a total surprise as Pierre's family run the Les Parcs St. Kerber / Les Viviers d'Armor, who are reputed for their oysters. During the Cabernet Franc Ambassadors tasting in Paris, we had a tasting of them at Les Comédiens – they were so good that I shamefully neglected to make proper notes on the three different types of oyster we tried. Not sure whether you will be able to order a 'pichot' a of wine!

I understand that Jean-Max will be leaving Château de la Grille, Chinon at the end of this month after 28 years. Jean-Max had been in charge of the estate, which was bought by Baudry-Dutour in January. He has his own family estate: the Domaine de Noire.
