If you’re yearning to use your geeky creativity for something semi-useful, air drums are probably the coolest project you’ll see today. Awesomely creative guy Maayan Migdal took a pair of flip-flops, a pair of hand rakes, a few bits of electronics and some USB cables and made what is probably the coolest DIY air drum kit ever.

Even though the “foot pedals” are reversed (on a real drum kit the left foot controls the hi-hat and the right foot controls the bass pedal) the kit is super impressive to see in action. The guy behind the setup says he may eventually offer schematics for people who want to build their own air drum kits, but for now you’ll just have to use your MacGuyver-like skills to figure out how the pieces all fit together.
