Wine on the internet: good news

Wine sites like Jancis Robinson, Andrew Jefford, Jim's Loire etc are now legal (apparently)

The mention of alcohol has been authorised on the net by the French parliament (report on Agrisalon). Youth and sports sites are excepted and pop-ups and spams will not be allowed. This appears to be good news, although to be sure will need to see the detail. See also report in Le Figaro. At the same time the minimum age for buying alcohol has been raised from 16 to 18. Also no sale of alcohol in service stations/garages between 6pm and 8am and no chilled bottles at any time. These measures still have to be passed by the French Senate with voting expected in April.

Just one sign that will now have to be changed

Elsewhere a good article on eccevino by David Cobbold on the lunacy that surrounds wine and health in France.
