Greece’s fledgling solar energy industry has got a boost from Hamburg-based Company Conergy Group. The German company has just concluded a 32MW framework agreement for the construction of 20 solar power plants with a major local Greek investor. The power plants would be almost exclusively equipped with Conergy system technology. With most of the production licenses already in hand the work is expected to begin soon by the second quarter of 2011 at the latest. After the maximum construction period of 18 months, all solar parks are expected to be connected to the public grid and supply clean energy.
