La Loire near Ussé

Throughout the Loire July has seen below average rainfall but above average temperatures and sunshine, although no records have been broken. Anjou and the Pays Nantais have had little rain, while around Bourges and Tours the July rainfall has been close to the norm. The wettest day of the month was Bastille Day (14th July). The stats come from Météo France. The average is for the period 1991 to 2000.

The average rainfall is 46.6 mm. Although July's rainfall is low. It is far from the record low of July 1967 when only 2.7 mm fell.

56.6mm compared the average of 59.8 mm. markedly wetter than the western Loire with 10 days when rain fell compared the norm of 8.

But no records here as the least sunshine in July was 189 hours in July 2000 and the most being 309 hours in July 2006.
