Dwarfing the likes of Burj Khalifa, Miapolis and the one conceived under the Project Green Float by its mere mention, the Nakheel Harbour Tower in Dubai is all set to become the next tallest building on earth. The mixed-use development, which is the brainchild of creatives at Woods Bagot Architects, will be over a kilometer high edifice. It will include a harbor, a cultural podium and residential districts in the heart of the New Dubai Development.
The proposed construction will provide shelter to more than 1500 inhabitants. While employing green technologies like black water treatment, storm water harvesting, reuse of fire test water, solar panels and wind turbines, it will contend for the prestigious LEED Platinum Certification.
