The Napa Valley businessman, Garth Patterson, has come up with a cool way to help farmers toiling in the hot sun. After two years of herculean task and four prototypes what he comes out with is a 12-foot-long cooling station equipped with an oscillating fan, similar to one blowing a cool mist in National Football League.

The station has all the things to relax the hardworking farmers. The things include a pair of benches, covered roof, plenty of fresh water to drink, a sink for washing hands, an eye wash station, an outdoor shower and the system is also equipped with halogen lights.

With a sticker price of $19,650, the cooling station has everything required by CalOSHA’s standards. Featured at Infineon Speedway, near Sonoma; World Ag Expo in Tulare County; and is currently at the State Fair in Sacramento, the benefits of cooling station, as Patterson believes, is to go beyond the farm field and are being tried at sporting events, such as auto racing, where crowds are exposed to intense sun.
