Franciacorta has been selected as the venue for the 2011 European Wine Bloggers' Conference. which will run between 14th-16th October. We can expect to taste a wide selection of the local sparkling wine. Given the apparently level of interest by wine promotional bodies in hosting or sponsoring the annual conference it may not be too long before we see a long drawn out selection process akin to awarding the Olympics to a city.
